My Winter Foundation Routine
Every year when the days get shorter and the air gets chillier I switch up my foundation routine to accommodate the drying conditions. This year I went for a new foundation and it has quickly become my favorite!
I had heard so many people talk about this foundation and how amazing it is, but they never had a shade light enough for me. Until now that it, I use the Born This way foundation in Snow and the Born This Way concealer in Fairest. I have very fair skin and a neutral undertone, making it hard to find makeup that actually matches me. This foundation is my perfect shade! Which is thrilling for me, a daywalker, as most foundation shades are too orange or yellow and three shades too dark.
The formula is what really won me over. Too Faced really nailed it with these guys, perfectly dewy and natural. It melts into the skin, as opposed to sitting on top and being quite cakey like some, and has a very beautiful glow to it.
Too Faced also had the Hangover primer and setting spray that are supposed to go really nicely with the foundation, but I have yet to pick those up. On my wish list though! Instead I've been using Shea Moisture's Youth Infusing Hydrating Toner (review coming soon!) to set my makeup. This has been really lovely for my skin, it's never felt softer!
To highlight and conceal I've been using the matching Born This Way concealer and a Becca highlighter in Opal, for that perfect healthy glow. I'm not really a bronzer or countering person, so to add warmth I use another wonderful Too Faced product, their Love Flush blush in Baby Love. This is a great everyday blush, as it's a beautiful and perfectly subtle shade.
